This Gesha was sourced from Yellow Rooster Coffee Importers and comes from producer Anthony Carranza. We cupped four other Peruvian Geshas, and honestly, they were all excellent—but we kept coming back to Anthony's. I always pay attention to the notes that the producer and importer share about the coffee because I'm interested in how they compare to what we're tasting. Often, our final tasting notes differ, but this is one of those times where the vibes were in sync. We're getting Meyer lemon, plum, and white flowers—just as the producer noted. The coffee underwent 72 hours of whole-cherry fermentation, followed by 48 hours after pulping, and was then sun-dried on raised beds for 15 days.
